The fighting Gamecocks of the University of South Carolina upset Cincinnati in the basketball NIT quarterfinals tonight. Some will argue this is because two of Cincinnati's starters were declared ineligible 2 hours prior to the game.
One of the starters who was not allowed to play is named Jihad Muhammad. With a name like that I would have declared him ineligible too, mostly for homeland security reasons.
I can only hope, for the safety of Carolina fans everywhere, that Jihad Muhammad takes losing better than I do.
