We received this scam email message recently in response to an upright piano Brien was selling on Craigslist (Brien usually reads this email out loud with a heavy Indian accent):

I am agent interested in immediate purchase of your item.After several consideration over the advert placed on the website,my client who has really shown interest in it and would really want to issue the payment in form of Money order.....Will you be accepting a Money order? The Money order that will be drawn by my client would include the cost for
shipping this item to my client and my commission would be included on the same Money order......We shall solely be responsible for the shippment of the item. Provide your CONTACT NAME,ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER if you are interested in selling so that I can have it forwarded to my client for immediate payment issuance. Please contact me asap via email for futher questions as regards this transaction.If you really show willingness in selling this item asap.Thank You and I am expecting your response ASAP.

Great reply, no need to take a conterfet MO. That scam has been around for years, I rate it near the Nigerian Letter.
I was selling a laptop last week on Craigslist and received this reply:
Can i make your payment via E-check(Electronic Check)? this is how it works, the check will be sent to you via email all you need to do is just to purchase a check paper and magnetice versa ink at any shopping mall or Stationary store or office max to get the check printed and immediately after the printing knidly proceed to any Cashing Point or your Bank or any Bank of America that is close to you to get the check cash. Ship the Laptop after you might have clear the check Is that okay by you? Get back to me asap.
