(Washington, DC) -- Coyotes are said to be taking up residence in the nation's capital. Their presence was only confirmed in September when a naturalist spotted one in the woods of a city park. Michael Bean, the chairman of the wildlife program at the Environmental Defense group, says he suspects coyotes have been in the area for some time. City-dwelling coyotes like to feed on kitchen garbage and pet food.
